Nightshade by Dennis Fujitake (1981)

This 11" x 14" drawing by Dennis Fujitake from 1981 features NIGHTSHADE in her original Steve Ditko inspired costume. Nightshade was first introduced in the pages of Captain Atom #82 (Charlton Comics, September 1966). She appeared several times in Captain Atom stories, before getting her own backup series in the last three published issues (#87-89). Nightshade was later incorporated into the DC Universe when the company purchased the Charlton characters.
