Description

Of course, I've always loved Murphy Anderson's exquisite inks over Curt Swan pencils...but before his work at DC, Anderson did some incredible science fiction work for the comics during the 40's and 50's. This title page from Fantastic Worlds is a prime example of the stellar work that he did during that time period. When I first saw this page on ComicLink, I was absolutely mesmerized by the two spacemen dueling it out on a runaway meteor hurtling through the deepest realms of outer space. It is...indeed...a classic scenario by one of the greatest artists to ever work for the comics medium.
