You're Superman, everything is going good for 50 years or so then along comes Doomsday and you have to put on a black suit and take a nap for a while. When you wake up you find several imposters, two of which need to be dealt with. All because of a television show (Lois & Clark) that wasn't ready for Superman to be married in the comics. You have done your time, married your long time co-worker, shared your biggest secrete and now your powers go hay-wire over a little kiss.

Superman's powers go crazy and he develops new ones he can barely control. The Atomic Skull is freed. The Intergang clones continue to make their moves on crime in Metropolis. Superman tries to hold it together long enough to battle Atomic Skull, but disappears.

The Atomic Skull has returned to menace Metropolis! What's he after? Plus, something's made Superman completely and utterly phantom-like! He's falling through walls and radiating an odd static electricity! This issues features guest penciller Scot Eaton.

Power Crisis! (The first appearance of Superman Blue)

Things really heat up when everything goes wrong! His whole body starts to pass through things, he loses his flight power and his vision powers are completely changed. He begins to pass through things because he has been knocked out of phase with our reality.
