This piece was kept in private collection since it was created in the 1950's!

Cover features: ”Goofy in the Rain”. 15.25" x 11.75".
Published in 1954 as Four Color # 562. ( The 2`nd issue of total 15 Goofy Four Color comics from the Four Color run ).
Only 2 out of 15 Goofy covers from the Four Color run published by Western is known to have survived. FC # 562 was the first Goofy cover drawn by the legendary Disney artist ; Paul Murry.
The artwork is in great shape. Solid paper and vivid inks.

The first issue of Goofy was FC # 468 from 1953 and was drawn by Dick Moores. ( The artwork seems no longer to exist ).

Of the 15 Goofy covers published in the Four Color series, 8 was drawn by Paul Murry, 6 by Tony Strobl and only one by Dick Moores. As mentioned in the description only FC # 562 ( By Paul Murry ) and FC # 1201 ( by Tony Strobl ) of the 15 Goofy covers seems to have survived to this present day.
