Description
'Suddenly, familiar and comforting shapes filled the sky!'

Two-fisted WW2 aerial action with Johnny 'Red' Redburn, a British pilot fight with a Russian unit on the Eastern front. In the 'Flying Gun' saga, Johnny and his crew escorts a traitorous NKVD commissar to Britain, flying the fearsome B-25 Mitchell.

Fantastic John Cooper page from Battle Action. While Joe Colquhoun originated Tom Tully's Johnny Red, for me it was Cooper who combined historical accuracy with dirty, gritty war action. Tough stuff!
