Walter Berndt's
Smitty was usually a sweet and gentle kid strip, but not in this example. Similar to a
Little Orphan Annie story line from five years earlier, Smitty is being hassled by a bigger newsboy, who takes Smitty's corner from him. In the two strips previous to this (pictured in the extra images), you can see the build-up to this daily. Lovely drawing and figure work. July 28, 1933.
