Filmation: Wonder Girl of the Teen Titans Close-up

Wonder Girl was always a confusing character. I don't remember her being a side-kick toWonder Woman...at least not in the way Robin was to Batman, Speedy was to Green Arrow, Aqualad was to Aquaman, and Kid Flash was to Flash. My recollection was mostly as part of the Teen Titans. I wonder if DC felt like they HAD to have a side kick even though it didn't really fit as well. And since they've re-booted her multiple times and continued to fail, that seems most likely to me.

The Teen Titans were part of the 1967/1968 show, "The Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure". The show featured cartoons by Superman and Aquaman but also each week there was a "special feature" cartoon. The Teen Titans appeared just three times. The cast of the titans included Speedy, Wonder Girl, Aqualad, and Kid Flash.

According to Wikipedia, the actor Julie Bennett provided the voice of Wonder Girl. You probably don't know Julie's name but I'll bet you know her voice. She was the voice of Cindy Bear in most of the Yogi Bear cartoon movies and specials. Plus she was the voice talent for countless other cartoons!
