The Amazing Spider-Man #402, pages 21-22

Here's another couple of pages to my collection from The Amazing Spider-Man #402 from 1995 by artist extraordinaire Mark Bagley, and boy, what a couple of pages!!! A huge double splash depicting a destroyed version of New York City as shown by Judas Traveller to Peter Parker in the Scarlet Spider costume (both as tiny appearances on panel 1.)

There's nothing to add there except that the extent of the details and the hellish vision of the iconic city is truly impressive. Mark does excel at most anything: action packed scenes, personal quiet moments, Dantesque scenery...


Of note: those pages were inked by Al Milgrom who lent a hand to the great Larry Mahlstedt and Joe Rubinstein at inking duties on that issue (which goes to say how productive and impressive quality-wise was and still is Mark Bagley since he needed three different inkers to complete that one issue. Of course, this was most likely due to other timing constraints that we don't know of. The 90's were a strange time...)
