DescriptionI love EC covers, especially the ones that have a diabolical twist to them. Here, a maniacal zookeeper gloats that his "pets" have taken care of the body he fed them and wonders who their next victim will be. He doesn't see the zombie corpse of his latest victim trudging menacingly from the alligator pit towards his shed. Turnabout is fair play, as they say. This horrifying 1951 cover is huge--13.5" by 19.5"--and is demonically drawn by Johnny Craig. It's my first EC cover but certainly not my last.Social/Sharing |

Johnny Craig was an under-appreciated master of the medium, and this cover is a great example of what makes him so good!

Ooh, this is so wonderfully creepy, and as you say, a perfect example of "turnabout is fair play." Congrats!! I would love to own an EC horror cover like this someday.
