DescriptionYou have to hand it to Marvel. They worked hard to keep their comics relevant by addressing the social issues of the day. In this story, titled "Crisis in the Inner City," Thor finds himself caught in a confrontation between angry demonstrators and the cops. Hmm. Wonder if they taught Mediation in Asgard? Anyway, this gorgeous cover was deftly penciled and inked by Marvel regular Keith Pollard. Special thanks to Glen Brunswick for letting me steal this one away!Social/Sharing |

The very first piece of original comic art I ever bought was a Pollard cover back in 1991, and this excellent piece is a great reminder of why. Congrats on building up such an excellent collection, Bill!

Pollard is one of my absolute favorite Thor artists, and this image of Thor is exactly the kind you want to have on a cover. Great grab!

Pollard was one of the best arists to ever work on Thor and images like this are why! Always gave Thor that larger than life look, including in more grounded stories like this one. Great face forward jumping shot here! Congrats!
