Empress Hysteria/Queen Machina from "Power Rangers Zeo"/"Ohranger" by Wendy Xu

After Wendy told me she wasn't doing NYCC this year I knew I had to get a sketch from her this weekend at Flame Con. Sticking with my Power Rangers theme I got a bust sketch of Queen Machina, a.k.a. Empress Hysteria.

Machina is the wife of King Mondo, ruler of the Machine Empire which were the villains of the "Zeo" season. The two were devoted to one another and Machina honestly wasn't that bad as a bad guy. However, she never really did much on her own, even when her husband was usurped by Louie Kaboom.

Her sentai counterpart, Empress Hysteria of Machine Empire Baranoia, had a more nuanced storyline that featured her redeeming herself after becoming a grandmother.

I was afraid Wendy would have trouble with this because of how ornate her design is, but it came out perfectly.
