P.J. Monahan - "Fear"

Our friendly neighborhood postwoman delivered this one today. By artist P.J. Monahan, it's from...well, actually, I don't know where it's from.

Monahan did a lot of pulp art, as well as slick magazine art, newspaper art and book art during a nearly 30 year career that ended with his death in 1931. Among his more well known works were several covers for Edgar Rice Burroughs' serials in All-Story. Unlike many pulp artists at the time, Monahan made an effort to get his originals back, and he stored them in a studio he had built at his farm in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. The studio unfortunately burned to the ground in 1928, taking with it the bulk of his originals.

I'd love to figure out where this is from, and so I'll turn it into a bit of a contest. I'll give a free three day membership to next year's Windy City Pulp and Paper Convention, a copy of Art of the Pulps and a copy of Uncovered to the first person who can ID this for me!
