Wow! Amazingly happy to add this piece by Dave. Thanks to mike for the trade allowing this addition. When I first discovered Dave's initial chapter of The Rocketeer, I was thrilled. Couldn't wait for the next chapter. Just amazingly beautiful stuff! He had created a Pulp character who could take his place alongside Doc and The Shadow. In fact, he did during the run of stories. I think Dave was a generational creator. Only a few of those come along in a lifetime. Truly sad that we lost him far too young. What other wonders might we have seen from him. The amazing Michael Kaluta provided layouts for this page. Dave did the rest. Inks have to be seen to be believed.

Having seen this page in person, I have to say that it is absolutely incredible in terms of the attention detail and precision of work. Congrats Jim, I know how much this page means to you.

I agree. Dave's inks are simply amazing. Like one of the golden age masters. I could stare at his work for a long time. such a unique talent. This page is a touchstone of my small collection. Thanks again.
