Description

Page 6 – Panels 4 & 5 from the online comic -- WEST OF THE DAKOTAS (2001) drawn by Sam Glanzman (pencils & inks), which appeared on the online comics website, Comic Book Stories dot com.

Sam drew each row of panels on a separate page, each a large 11 x 17 size.

Here’s a description of the storyline from the website -- Nathaniel West is the son of a history professor turned adventurer, and an Indian princess. Nathaniel has lived among the whites and the American natives. He has learned the best from both cultures. Nathanial, in his time has been an army scout, Indian policeman, cowpuncher, horse trainer, trapper, and pony express rider. Like many of his contemporaries, he has drifted from job to job to earn his way. Join him in his adventures, as he travels the portion of our young country that is West of the Dakotas!

This page a great example of Glanzman’s comics work!

Condition: Original measures 17” x 11” and is in Excellent condition.

Note: The pages are whiter than they appears in the scan. The scanner I’m using is giving it a yellowish tinge.

A living legend, Sam Glanzman, is truly a man who needs no introduction. His career has spanned over 50+ years from the Golden Age of Comics to the present day. Some of the series bearing his unique style are KONA, US.S. STEVENS, JUNGLE TALES OF TARZAN, HAUNTED TANK, COMBAT, HERCULES, ATTU, JONAH HEX, A SAILOR’S STORY and hundreds of short stories for various comics..
