DescriptionJohn Byrne has a habit of taking popular characters and turning them on their heads. Most notable of course was his remaking of Superman with the 1986 six-issue "Man Of Steel" miniseries. He also took the character of the Savage She-Hulk from the early '80s and made her sweet and sexy in the late '80s and early '90s. He had fun playing with Spider-Man's early history with the "Spider-Man: Chapter One" series. But one of my very favorites is his Superman & Batman Generations: An Imaginary Tale series. The series of four books presented a view of what the world would have been like if Superman and Batman, as well as other superheroes and their archenemies, had aged naturally and passed their secret identities, powers and skills on to successors. This issue (Book 2) told stories from the years 1959 and 1969. Just love the various images of Superman and Batman on this cover, plus Robin and the Joker. What sold it for me though was Mxyzptlk and Bat-Mite facing off. I can't get enough of those impish rogues. Thanks P A ! Social/Sharing |

At the rate you are posting covers lately - have you given any considerations to simply buying out Bill cox and just taking over CAF all together! Great pick up by the way. Love the cartoony batman and the superman struggling in the background.

It's Ballercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Even though the sound of it
Is something quite atrocious
If you say it loud enough
You'll always sound precocious
Ballercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
