Both look great! How much direction do you give on something like this?

Jason-
Justin did this as a personal piece. It was going to be sold at Spectrum Live, but I saw it and bought it before the show.
Glad you like them both!

I fell in love with the colored print at Spectrum and immediatedly asked about the pencil prelim. I was dissappointed to hear that it had already sold, but happy now to know that it is part of such a nice collection.

Thank you Ingrid! I haven't bought much Fantasy stuff lately, but loved what he did with this one.

...Justin is a Modern Master, this pencil piece is breathtaking in detail, and the finished piece completes the piece in atmosphere...Lovely work Sir Gerard!

Thank you Paperchaser! I agree about Justin being a Modern Master. The pencils are so delicate, but the finished painting has such darkeness and power. A great balance.

...I own a lot of originals by Justin Gerard, and he just keeps amazing me every time one arrives, I hope to see a lot more of his great work in the future....

I loved his work, since the first Illuxcon. Just have always missed out on the ones I wanted. He just keeps getting better and better. Just added the framed picture. Let me know when you think?
