Was really happy to see this just become available as I love the formative years, training ground art, and that early storytelling potential of John Byrne. Byrne noted on his site: “I designed my own "grown-up" version of Robin's costume, back in my fan days (circa 1972). Even did a few pages of story using it, as a sample for DC. I'd get quite a kick out of seeing those pages, and that design, again!

Awesomesauce! I imagine things turned out a TINY bit differently in the particular reality wherein Mr. Byrne received the "you're hired" call from DC Comics at this point in his career...
