DescriptionA Bruce McCorkindale re-creation of Steve Ditko's cover art to SPACE ADVENTURES #12. Pen, brush and ink on 13 X 20" bristol board. I have always thought of this cover as Ditko attempting to bring to his own art table what he saw Wally Wood bring to his art table. Bruce commented "I remember being shocked that it was Ditko when I first found out, some years ago. It was tricky to de-colorize...the linework and color got mixed up a bit, and there's a fair amount of zipatone."Social/Sharing |
