Arzach - Heavy Metal Show Copro Gallery - Dan Quintana

This absolutely gorgeous painting was done for the HEAVY METAL 40TH ANNIVERSARY group exhibition July 15 - August 19, 2017 by Dan Quintana and exhibited at the Copro Gallery in Santa Monica, CA. The title is Arzach (2017) and based on a character from Moebius' Arzach story. The painting is 8" x 9" oil on wood. The face is classic smooth oil Quintana painting surrounded by thickly textured paint for the helmet and overcoat. He gave her mezmerizing heterochromia iridium.

I purchased this from the Copro Gallery during the Allen Williams COVENENANT show. Amazingly, shortly after I purchased that night, Dan came in the door and got to talk to him about the painting.
