Aliens (Book 2) Issue 2 Cover

Dark Horse's 1st two Aliens mini-series were both simply titled "Aliens", but this series was later dubbed both "Book Two" and "Nightmare Asylum".

Some of the 1st comics I ever came into contact with were Aliens comics - My older brother started collecting them and I thought it was pretty cool, so I started collecting Predator comics. Not-so-secretly, however, I always thought the Aliens were cooler than Predator.

In particular, I really loved Den Beauvais painted work on the early issues. His covers blew me away, and this one especially so. It had a big impact on me and my decision to start collecting comics, and it's one of those "I-can't-believe-I-actually-own-this" type pieces.

It's been re-printed as the cover to several Aliens collections and other items, including a video game or two. Signed by Beauvais. To my eye, it's the greatest piece of Aliens art, other than Giger's work and the first 2 films themselves.

This is amazing. I'm not a collector of Aliens art but I was so impressed with this when I saw it up for auction. All of the different hues of blue...wow. Sincere congrats on a great get!
