Captain America Vs. The Third Reich!

This is a special project because it's a collaboration that I'd wanted to do with this artist for a long time. Her name is Alannah Chantel Mason, and she's an incredible Acrylic painter. I had an idea for a Captain America piece that began as a sketch cover. I recycled the concept and commissioned Alannah to render it on canvas for me. This beautiful 18 x 24" canvas is the spectacular result. Here we have Steve Rogers in his element: The heat of battle - literally - of World War II charging against a Nazi Foot soldier. I'm really impressed that Alannah managed to pull off the reflection effect on the shield. Basically she diluted the paints with water after rendering it normally. Her approach to the face and mask captures that classic 1940s style that Jack Kirby was known for when he created Cap with Joe Simon. Currently this is for sale as of this date (October 13, 2019) until October 14th at midnight. Link pending. I'm extremely blown away by what Alannah did with my design, especially by the flame effects and the shield. She nailed it and I look forward to collaborating with her on a piece again in the future.
