DescriptionHi there everyone!Each night this week I will be posting a different cover by the great Humberto Ramos, from a variety of titles and featuring lots of different characters. Tonight I am starting with the cover to Fantastic Four 2099, a comic that just came out last week. I am super excited that the 2099 Marvel Universe is coming back. I'm particularly impressed by the inking on this one. Plus, I'm a huge fan of FF covers that feature the entire team in battle formation, rushing towards the viewer. I also love how joyful the Thing looks, cuz he knows there is some major clobberin' in his future. 80 years in the future in this case. Look out 2099, here comes the Fantastic Four !! Being more into realism, I'm still not a fan of his primarily due to the highly stylized figure work. But on the other hand, I have to admit I'm really digging the fact that he's adding a new wrinkle to his style by adding all those scratchy inks. Really nice FF cover!

Yes indeed ... he used to draw for the entire world, but now he only draws for MEEEE, mwah! ha ha HA HAAAHHHH! Um, er, I mean thanks for the comment, and stay tuned!

Man, this rocks. Totally agree regarding full team FF images and this one’s up there. Ramos’s uniquely stylized rendition really works, especially with those scratchy inks on Torch and Thing. They’re textured design really can lend to artists showing out...like here! Congrats on yet another awesome Ramos get, Paul!

Ramos' FF is so crisp and fun! Great detail and great composition. Hopefully we see Ramos on a FF monthly one day.
