While the book isn't out yet, I see the covers solicited and out in the wild now, so I guess its good to show this off!

At NYCC 2019 i had the chance to spend some time with Ed McGuinness, and discovered an X-men prelim in his portfolio - something he had started to play with for fun. The strong layout with Wolverine front and centre, the mass behind Colossus, Cyclops ready for action, the power of Storm and Nightcrawler right up front - how can you go wrong?!?

In a matter of minutes I knew I would regret not getting it, then it was just a matter of talking the rest of my brain into it (which let's face it didn't take long at all). A deal was made for Ed to finish the piece at home. Fast forward to early 2020 and I hear from Ed that the piece is being made into a cover by Marvel! A first for me! Shortly after that, we heard what book it was for, and again I couldn't be happier - to see it go as a variant cover for the Giant Sized X-Men #1 Tribute to Wein & Cockrum made me down right giddy.

Set up with Ed and his rep (at the time) Mike at MGA. Mike made the transaction seamless as always. And Ed, well he produced something that was beyond my expectations - as always. I'm a lifelong fan dude!

Wow, sincere congrats, Byron! Ed really went town on this with killer renditions of the classic X-men characters in their most classic costumes (LOVE the Wolvie brown and tan). And it being made into a cover is a big bonus for sure!
