Description
This is a piece of art that hits squarely in the 3rd wave of nostalgia for me. First wave being when I discovered comics, second wave when I started collecting again at the end of high school, and 3rd wave when I restarted comic collecting after settling into life and starting a family. Each wave followed a period of time where I didn't actively collect comics or even read much. I remember discovering Wizard magazine and loving all the great art and articles, including this amazing cover art by Adam Kubert.

Huge thanks to my fellow gammabro Steve for allowing this piece to be re-homed in my collection. He knew I wanted it from the minute he was able to buy it many years ago.

Also included is a scan of the colored magazine cover.

If this wasn't in Steve's collection (or mine, hah), it belongs in yours. Congrats Dave - amazing cover and definitely one of my favorites!

I was going to comment that this piece is a perfect fit for Dave ( a face only a mother could love!) but clearly there are more than one 'mother' out there. Smashing Congrats!!

Big congrats, Dave! Right up your collector alley. I remember this one distinctly, among many other Wizard covers - HIGH nostalgia factor :) Great close up image that speaks to that "nothing can contain/withstand the Hulk" narrative!

Thanks Dom - I remember gazing at this image for quite a while before cracking it open to read the articles. Great stuff!

Dave Smash ! Didn't you really find a published cover with a "more" closeup image (let's say: the teeth only)  with everybody's favorite green Marvel monster? And nice Heritage promotion on the bottom - "uncut":)

I remember this being for sale. I wasn't ready to jump into collecting comic art yet. I realy wish I did. This is just an outstanding drawing of the Hulk. Adam Kubert is so freaking good! So glad you got this Dave.

I remember this cover! Wizard was such a great magazine back in day. I actually looked forward to it more than most of my monthly comics pulls.
