Wow! Major score, Chirs! The pages are gorgeous!
Chris, a superb acquisition. Wow. Aparo was The definitive Batman artist of the Bronze Age. Aparo was unparalleled as an artist, who also inked and lettered most of his work in the 70s. A complete story is the pinnacle of collecting. To get the opportunity to own the whole comic and in this case also the cover makes this an awe inspiring feat. And quite an achievement for Bill who labored for years to put it together. I have purchased complete stories but only completed three so far from scratch. The feeling of getting the last page to complete a story is so powerful, it's beyond description.
Great story! Glad it worked out! Wonderful splash page!
Holy smoke! Complete Aparo story!!! That's a grail for all collectors! Congrats, and thanks for sharing, Chris
Aparo cover, full interior, and childhood memory all at once. Great achievement. Congratulations. You're "The Man" (sorry couldn't resist...😉).
Gorgeous Aparo Title Page! I know you will cherish the complete interior as much as I did ! It is amazing to have the complete comic including the cover ! They belong together....Enjoy!
Wow, does Bob take requests? I've got a whole list of books I would love to put together. LOL! Seriously though, this is an absolutely incredible act of generosity. Not just that he did all the leg work, but allowing the pages to be reunited with the cover. Not sure I've ever heard of this level of generosity in all my years of collecting. You should BOTH be proud of yourselves. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.
Hey Eric - a very kind comment, but the credit really belongs to Bob!
Bob did an impressive job assembling this book. Glad you are able to reunite the cover with the pages.
The cover is terrific, but this Splash rocks!
