Description

I should be receiving this in the mail any day now! David Finch penciled this beautifully detailed Batman commission for me back in 2007. My intention was always to have a few different inkers embellish this piece on bluelined copies. I finally had a chance to ask inker extraordinaire Mark Farmer to ink a copy of this for me! I love the end results as he added his own Bat Single and clouds for me! Thank you Mark!

Phenomenal Batman piece! Love Finch's compostion and detailed figurework. And Farmer's inks are the perfect complement to Finch. Love the generoius use of blacks and the beautiful linework! Congrats!

Thanks Bill, I kept the original pencils untouched as David rendered it so tight that it would be a shame to ever cover that with ink. I've had a few artists ink this piece on separate boards, and Mark stayed very true to the original pencils while adding his own touches to the background. Mark even gave me a few choices of Bat Signal backgrounds to choose from in prelims before he added that to this piece!
