Amazing Spider-Man #9 P. 11 Splash Page with Black Cat & Spider-Man by Humberto Ramos & Victor Olazaba

I had been eyeing a nice Humberto Ramos Amazing Spider-Man piece for a while now, and have been wanting to add something of his to my collection. So when this splash page from Amazing Spider-Man vol.5 #9 (2018) came onto the market for the very first time ever, my decision was made quite fast.

Front and center is the beautiful Odessa Drake, created by Nick Spencer & Humberto Ramos. She’s the leader of the Thieves Guild in New York City and someone who Spidey & Black Cat have run into some problems with. The splash shows off her looks, as only Humberto can show her off, as well as her confident look.

Sprinkled throughout and around her are smaller panels highlighting Spider-Man himself, as well as two close-ups of Black Cat. The other two panels tell the story of who Odessa is and who exactly she and the Thieves Guild are. This page is basically a short catch-up of who Odessa is, as told by Black Cat to Spidey.

Is this the best page featuring Odessa Drake? Probably!

The piece is 11x17 as usual and printed on Humberto’s typical original art boards.
