Description

Done for a poster for the opera "Suzannah". Also used for the call to entries poster for Spectrum 12 and also sold as a limited edition print.
Graphite, acrylic, oils, collage and tape on wood panel.
24 1/2" X 36"
The painting was done about 3/4 traditionally, then digitally finished as Greg does with most of his work.
The posted picture was taken via phone, so maybe not the best picture of it.

That's beautiful! Hard to get a feel of the size on CAF, but must be wonderful in person!

Thanks James! It is going to be huge framed. I saw Greg working on this piece at Comic Con many years ago and loved what he was doing with it. I had forgoten about it, until Greg posted it for sale on his website. It had been at his parents house for quite some time.

It's quite unusual but very interesting to see contemporary art so strongly influenced by Italian Renaissance Masters. Beautiful painting!

Thank you Davide! Greg based this piece on a passage from the Bible, so I think you see that with the old Masters influence.
