Description
A comp for Steven Spielberg's "Always" (1989) by Weistling.

See how John Goodman's area is actually a patch? In the first place, they had Morgan draw Brad Johnson in there. I guess that later someone thought it was a better marketing idea to have Goodman instead. I think this caught Goodman right at the beginning of the "Roseanne" huge success, and between Pacino's "Sea of Love" and "Arachnophobia". 30 years later, and seeing Johnson's filmography, this was definitely a good choice.

The final one sheet used a beautiful Alvin painting (very similar to the upper area of this) that included all the classic alvin-esque elements: cloudy skies, backlit figures, a wonderful logo that could be used with or without a poster-integrated airplane. I suspect that logo concept gave them some headaches!

Alvin's painting was too perfect so the studio decided to include three big photos of the cast on top to ruin it a little bit XD.

Anyway, this crappy pic doesn't do it justice, truly. I've never been a fan of the film. IMO, it has a truly brilliant first 45 minutes, and it all falls apart from there. Plus, the story kinda shocked me as a kid and found it super sad. I rarely frame and hang stuff from film's I'm not a fan of, but this totally deserved it!
