1948 WALT DISNEY DONALD DUCK ORIGINAL PROOF PAGE SUNDAY NEWSPAPER PRODUCTION ART

Incredibly rare original printed proof page for Donald Duck, the all-time classic Sunday newspaper strip by the legendary Walt Disney Productions and syndicated by King Features Syndicate. This is a proof for the March 21, 1948 (3/21/48) episode. This is a black and white proof of the complete strip page, featuring beautiful artwork with Donald and a balloon idea that doesn't quite work out! The proof measures approximately 14 3/4" by 21 1/2", on smooth coated stock (not lower-quality newsprint paper), and is blank on the reverse side. It is in very good overall condition, particularly considering its age (more than 70 years old!), with general wear to be expected, including some small spotting in a few panels. Please note that this is NOT a mass-produced print, lithograph, or poster reproduction. This is a very cool and rare comic collectible that you will hardly ever get a chance to see (but please again note that this item is printed, it is not the hand-drawn artwork). And what makes this even more special is that this is a truly outstanding example, featuring the trademark humor that made this strip a classic, and with Donald or Huey, Dewey, and Louie in every single panel!
