DescriptionAw screw it. We all know how the conversation went. Two months go by: "Nick, I'm going to place the Alex Ross Gwen Stacy at CAF Con. Are you sure you don't want it? It goes perfect with the Sub-Mariner". Me: "well, Sub-Mariner was the beginning of the Golden Age Marvel Universe, and Gwen Stacy was the end of the Silver Age with light and hope. Alex painted her beautifully in the series, and it is a great page." Bechara: "OK, well, think about it, and give me an answer tomorrow." then me "Yes, I won't forgive myself if I let this go. Marvels might have been Ross's best work. In my opinion, that and KC are tops. Congratulations on (not one but) two iconic images!

Agreed, they are fantastic, but I do feel when Alex gets personally involved and vested into a story, it still sings incredibly well!
