Description

This page contains Wendy's first professional comic book work. Not as artist - of course the issue is drawn by the irrepressible Frank Thorne - but as the writer of the story. Frank, whom we'd recently met at a Boston comic show, put Wendy in touch with Roy Thomas and he invited her to script this issue, dated November 1977 (four months before the first appearance of Elfquest). I've long wondered if the clouds in panel 7 spell out "Pini" as Frank was always a bit of a wag.
