DescriptionThis page was missing a word balloon when I acquired it. Replaced here (but not permanently affixed to original) for the scan. From Captain America #443 in September 1995. Artist David Hoover had signed this piece before it entered my collection. The Super Soldier Serum that created Cap has been failing. Forcing him to wear an armor suit created by Tony Stark to remain alive. In this book he is visited by Black Crow who informs him of a vision. Our hero has only 24 hours left to live. Pictured here is Cap(in that kooky armor of course) informing his crew of Jack Flag, Fabian Stankowicz, Zach Moonhunter and Free Spirit of this ominous development. Okay. I like the art MUCH more than I appreciate this storyline! (But didn't we all?) Social/Sharing |

Nice page, congratulations
Thanks Redemagni!
It's not as nice as your Captain America page exactly 300 issues earlier (#143 by John Romita Sr.) but glad to have it within my Cap collection. Appreciate the compliment! -Lee

Very cool page with great panels of Cap looking as powerful as ever (even Batman has armor these days!). I've always admired Bulanadi's clean linework too. Congrats Lee!

I love seeing pages like this by the late, great Dave Hoover on CAF. He was able to pack quite a bit of story into every page that he did, and I've long felt he was one of the unsung heroes of 1990s Marvel.

Thanks Michael! I agree that Dave Hoover does not get the credit he is due. Really enjoyed his work on the Cap series and have been looking for a Diamondback page of his to add into my collection.

I'm probably one of the few fans of Dave Hoover's Armored Cap! Congrats! So jealous!
