Description

The idea for this bizarre series of illustrations comes from the amazing Donald Duck homage Alberto drew for me to celebrate the 85th birthday of the character, D-Zilla, where our Donald got someway blended with Godzilla, a fictional monster, or kaiju, originating from a series of Japanese films.

So here's the second piece of a series where Alberto will put in the blender Donald Duck and fictional characters from Japan, D-Shiro.

The reference character is Kenshiro, protagonist of the Fist of the North Star (Hokuto no Ken), a manga (also adapted to anime) written by Buronson and illustrated by Tetsuo Hara. Set in a post-apocalyptic world where civilisation is mostly gone and the strong preys on the weak, Kenshiro, successor of an ancient martial art of assassination, is destined to become its savior, after a long series of martial art battles.

Another striking watercolor piece by Lavoradori, bet you never saw a (Donald) duck so menacing, uh?
