Wow, so vintage! This is what a master draftsman does. He makes the figures sing, simply with the hands! Look at those hands in panels 7, 8 & 9. Perfection! All the facial expressions are fabulous as well, and that's a wonderfully drawn image of WBN in the final panel. Congrats!
Pages like this are why I collect sequential art. I have never been a cover or splash guy as they can't tell a story like a panel page can. Great find!
That really is a great example! Love the storytelling flow from top to bottom - so much to see in just this one page sequence. You're one of the handful of collectors that makes me wanna think harder about picking up a piece from an artist I don't currently have one by...Ploog is on that list :) Big congrats!
"For in reading my mind, Rihva had seen vivid images of what the beast I was planned to do to him..." Never ask a werewolf what they think, you just might get an answer...This is a very nice Ploog Werewolf by Night page. I love the guy dying from fear. I will second Kahlil's thoughts, and say you've reminded me to add him to my 2021 list. Awesome find! Congrats
I totally understand how getting a Ploog WbN page would feel special. It is interesting to see how he tells the story on this end page. I like the Werewolf inset in the second panel, but that whole middle sequence is really well done.
Plooged shined so bright in the Marvel Monster resurgance...no one equaled him at the time.
Ploog WBN is as graily as it gets, and this is a great example!
