Dan knocked it out of the park here. Love the rendering and the faces are very appealing. Congrats!
I think watching Thundarr as a kid predisposed me to loving Kirby. Awesome work by Panosian.
i dont know much about thundarr (im thinking i watched the other one with the white blobs and the weird rhino looking triceratops thing) but i love that this pic can take you back to your childhood. excellent pick up! screams 80s!
Matt the Herculoids where a favorite of mine as well.
Great piece! Loved that show as a kid
Wow! An immortal piece which wonderfully captures the awesomeness of Thundarr! Only made appropriately whole by your wonderful story! Thank you for sharing and congrats on such a wonderful immortalising of your childhood.
Great cartoon and great piece!!!!
This rocks! A classic animated show brought to today exquisitely by Panosian. Love the kind of tight composition with all 3 characters big and bold, plus the title lettering, AND the broken moon - killer image all around! Congrats!
Thanks man.
Lords of Light! What a great piece! Congrats!
Excellent choice & execution
Thundarr! I love that commission, and the story. Big fan of that cartoon myself. I used to plunk myself down every Sat morning to watch. :) Super cool! Congrats
Great pièce Dan Panosian !!
Dan does astounding stuff, he did a Gwen Stacy for me a little while ago. Watching the Drink and Draw youtube show is always a good time.
Thundarr brings good memories back to me too - no channel in my antenna based area carried it, so every time we went to Grandma's on weekends, I could watch Thundarr and Herculoids. I agree with one of the other commenters - it just oozes Kirby, and I think years later that dovetailed into my love of comics. And probably post-apocalyptic disaster movies too!
One of my favorite cartoons when I was a kid, nice!
Fantastic commission! Panosian really recaptured the look and feel of Thundarr! Congrats!
Panosian killed it with this piece. Outstanding!
What an amazing piece! I love the way that Dan's art has evolved. Without much fanfare, he became a first rate cartoonist. This is everything a person could ask for with a commission.
I love this piece! Thundarr holds a special piece in my heart as well. My dad also worked a lot as a carpenter. One time he took me on a side job on a Saturday when I was 13 years old. While he worked on renovating the owner's kitchen they let me watch some cartoons, and as fate would have it I watched Thundarr that day! My dad passed away last year, but I can't help but think of that day whenever I see Thundarr!
Great piece by the master - congrats !!!
Touchdown !
Demon dog! Just awsome!
Wow, such a cool piece, I'd absolutely be buying this off the stands, congrats!
Sooooooo cool!!
Sockamagee! (Question: Did Neil deGrasse Tyson go to your barbershop?)
