DescriptionI have long been a fan of Walter Minus's artwork. Pop art meets comic art and boy can he draw the girls! I had been looking for a piece to add and missed out on a lovely tribute he had done of Valentina by Crepax. That got me thinking that instead of waiting for the right piece, why not have it made and so the quest began. It was absolute pleasure talking with Walter and going through the process of the commission. I believe he also enjoyed the project as he was excited by it and Caniff was an influence on his art so a chance at a homage was the perfect project. The journey evolved and turned into a piece and experience that was far greater than I had anticipated. I won't bother you with the details of the adventure other than to let you know how it ends. That is today when a large packaged arrived from France containing the final commission plus three preliminary pieces that were done as part of the work up for the final piece. Great illustration and with the limited colors and thick ink lines has a bit of a Patrick Nagel feel to it. Congrats!!

Absolutely gorgeous. Has a Patrick Nagel feel. Great design color and rendition. Definitely a keeper.
