Description

I'm a big fan of the Dray Prescot series written by Kenneth Bulmer (under his Alan Burt Akers pseudonym). I encountered them when I was around 12 or 13, right after I'd made my way through the works of Edgar Rice Burroughs. Along with several series by Lin Carter, the Prescot series continued in the ERB tradition.

Since the series was published by DAW books, most books contained several interior illustrations. A few years back, I was lucky enough to buy several interior illustrations by Jack Gaughan from the series. In addition to the interiors, the batch included two prelims, including this one for "Arena of Antares" (published in 1974). I've scanned it next to a copy of the book.
