DescriptionComment by Stan Lee in bottom margin reads "All of a sudden - look how tall she is! We oughta check all gals of J.K.'s before inking!" Apparently, Lee thought that Alicia's legs were disproportionately long.Social/Sharing |

When it comes to artistic perspective, I'd put my money on Jack.

So true Mark. The pages I've seen from this issue are full of corrections and snide remarks by Lee. Apparently this was a contentious issue in general (i.e. Lee changing the story that Kirby had intented).

The best duo in comics, imo. Jack and Joe made magic together. I mean, everyone is facing away from the reader in that first panel, and it's still amazing. I love the disappearing effect. What a score! Huge congrats!

P.S. Alicia's legs beg to differ. Take that, Stan.

Yes :) It's too bad we can't see the original pencils under the whiteout. From what I have seen, Lee made a lot of editorial comments on this issue, both critical and complimentary to Kirby's work.
