Price and Camp had just scored with the graphic novels Carnival of Souls and Holiday for Screams when they developed Moviola as a feature for the weekend entertainment supplements. Early consultants included MAD's Harvey Kurtzman and humorist Mel Brooks. Some spoof rude moviegoers, bad-neighborhood theatres, and other blights and delights of cinema.
