Description

The Second Kind of Loneliness, by Rob Rey. The latest in my GRRM commission series. The story was published in Analog Magazine in December, 1972. It was GRRM�s first cover back then. Rob nailed the emotion of this one and matched the colour scheme of the original Freas cover. I am just thrilled with the results. 24x24 inches, oil on panel.

At first glance, I thought computer art. But this done the traditional manner is probably what influenced people to make imaging programs to try and open up such gorgeous dreamlike vistas of the mind. This really stirs the soul and makes one think of their place in the universe.
