Description

Adam Kubert was the final regular artist on the Peter David run and this DPS was from his first issue. On the left side, it features Hulk vs. Wolverine in the Savage Land. On the right side, Wovie makes his escape, while the Hulk is chewed, shaken and thrown by an angry dino.

What's great is that this has the original lettering directly on the board, which had become less common by 1997. I had some technical difficulties with the scanning, so the two sides don't exactly align properly, but it's close enough.

Those were some killer issues with Farmer doing such a clean ink job on Adam Kubert's action choreography! This aggressive action DPS is actually used to tell the story and has a payoff! Great crisp quality art from a time when art would often be obscured by computer colors or over crosshatching. This one cuts through it.

Great Kubert Hulk art, looks like some fun times in the Savage Land, makes me want to get these books and check it all out, that's a huge accomplishment from this art.

It's a good thing they both have healing factors. That T Rex threw him into the next page! Kubert and Farmer look great here. I like how they made Hulk's flesh soft in the third panel. A little detail a lot of other artists forget to put in. Great DPS. Congrats!
