DescriptionThe Pulse was Brian Michael Bendis' more mainstream PG rated sequel to Alias and featured some nice art by Mark Bagley. In this storyline, new Daily Bugle reporter Terri Kidder is murdered and her body is dropped from the sky. In this sequence, Jessica Jones and Bugle writers Ben Urich and Kat Farrell are trying to picture who might have dropped her and are picturing Iron Man, The Hulk, The Vulture and Stilt Man. (Spoiler alert: it was actually the Green Goblin.) The edges of the boards got a bit cropped in my scanning, but you get the general idea. Social/Sharing |

Sorry Ted, but I can't even get the general idea because of how much cropping you did to the borders. Please go ahead and rescan it all over again. 😃
But seriously, I don't know why everyone likes to make fun of and put down the Stilt-Man. Sure, the name may be lame, but he actually provides far more exciting visual imagery on art than the majority of Daredevil's foes. Every time he appears on a cover, for instance, it tends to produce a great aerial shot drawn from a wonderful perspective, which adds excitement and drama to the scene. Here he's in that one panel alone and my attention is immediately drawn away from everything else because it's such a dynamic image. The vulture kicks som high flying ass too though, and all in all you've got yourself a really great Bagley DPS!

Ha yeah -- agreed that Stilt-Man makes for some cool looking visuals, even if the concept is pretty silly.

My guess was that was Hulk. He was taking her out on a date by bounding over buildings and his butterfingers did an oopsie. Norman is being railroaded by the Bugle just because he supposedly did it once with Gwen Stacy. Everyone heard it was Spidey who snapped her neck, I read that in the Bugle too. Bagley and Bendis was the gold standard for Ultimate Spider-Man run and their collaborations resulted in fine drama and great street level stories. - edited a word.
