Description
As a young Lucy Weber stands in front of her class, she is asked by her teacher (off panel) what the occupation of her father is. Lucy pauses, and in that moment, several images of her father’s adventures as Black Hammer I come to mind.

She then replies, “He was… He was a cook.”

Brilliant piece of storytelling here by David Rubín and Jeff Lemire.

This traditionally OA is also quite rare as David has been quoted to have shifted to digital medium following his first Black Hammer book.

The little girl bookends this page.  Everything in between is superhero action fun!

Thanks Marcus.  David and Jeff did a great job maximizing this page.  It's great storytelling.  The teacher (off panel) asks a young Lucy Weber what her father does for a living.  Before answering, several images of her father in action come to mind.  Then she responds, "A cook."
