Spider Jerusalem by Clint Langley

Back at a con, it was about the last hours of the last day and I'm browsing through some art folder, when I come upon this striking piece.

I can't remember exactly how much, but Clint quotes me a ridiculous price and goes on to say it was intended for a Transmetropolitan tribute art-book, but got rejected.

I believe he got a different piece in, but he remained 'stuck' with this one. As a big Ellis & Transmet fan, it seemed only smart to take him up on the generous offer.

"Hold on", he says, "let me just..." and he pulls out what must have been the fattest red permanent marker I have ever seen and dips into Spider's red eye-glass, adds some flourishes here and there on the spot. "Now it's finished".

And boy, was it.
