Description
A while back, there was a kickstarter for a comic called Cayrel's Ring, with art by, among others, Brandon Graham, Simon Roy & Aaron Conley.

One of the rewards was a commission by one of the others. This was at the height of when Prophet as re-imagined by some of those guys was coming out, which had introduced me to the now infamous Simon Roy.

I really enjoy Brandon Graham's (who did the bulk of the scripting of Prohet, always in tandem with the artists) storytelling & something that came up in particular in that series was the inventory sequence, where a bunch of futuristic weaponry, food & kit would be laid out.

I thought that would make a fun unconventional image for this piece, and by golly isn't it?

There's also a bit of layout/sketch on the back that has my name on it. That might be a character from The Field (by Roy & Brisson) or something else.

This is a pretty neat take stock moment.  What he carries with him says a lot about the man.  Kind of like if you took account of all the art in your collection and find out what exactly are your tastes versus what you collect.

Ohhhhh this is so good! I loved Simon's work on this series and it was always so fun when they did they pages with gear/tools laid out. This is so clean.
