Cover dated September 1990. This series was based on the syndicated Superboy TV show that was airing at the time.

There�s no question that Art Adams hit the comic book scene like a lightning bolt in the 1980s with his work on Longshot, the New Mutants Special, various X-Men annuals, and even Gumby. So it�s no surprise that as the 1980s were drawing to a close, fans demanded that he ink Jim Mooney on a comic book based on a syndicated television program. The comic book community�s wish came true in 1990 with this very issue, and fans everywhere rejoiced!

In all seriousness, I remember picking up this comic book off of a newsstand to read in my orthodontist�s office. When I saw the name �Art Adams� in the credits box, I wondered to myself if there was a second Art Adams working in the comic book industry since it was unfathomable to me that arguably the #1 artist in the industry at the time was guest inking this issue.

It�s a fun page as Janelle Ciscernos removes Clark�s glasses while remarking he could be someone else without them.

Adams keeps in check to emphasize Mooney's lines and clean look overall. He adds more of his signature details in the backgrounds and neatness in presentation.
