DescriptionNick Pitarra always has a great take the characters he is drawing. Loved his art in Manhattan Projects and more recently on the Immortal Hulk fill in story ... and everything in between. This was a commission from many years ago, before the recent Hulk pages. This has a very monstrous look and with the buildings in the background, gives our favorite Jade Giant a larger-than-life feel.Social/Sharing |

In great Pitarra style, the appeal is the big open mouth and teeth details. Dental school must have been one of his goals in school. It's lunchtime and I'm getting hangry like Hulk.

I noticed the mouth details as well - very focal point. The tongue jumped out at me and really shows a divergance in the Hulk as a monster that is more creature than human (at least in this detail). Thanks as usual Marcus aka King of Comments!

Very cool, unique style. I'm imagining that in this image, Hulk is facing off against Venom, so he's showing that he can also do the open mouth/tongue/drool look. Next, the Hulk will say something about eating Venom's brains with a nice Bearnaise sauce paired with a fine Chianti.

Such a great emotional Hulk, I really like what Nick did here. Did you ask for a specific Hulk? Not sure why but I feel like if this was in color it would be grey.

Thanks Brian. I actually bought this from a fellow collector friend so I can't say what, if any, details were included when it was requested. I can totally see this as a grey Hulk. It might sound weird, but I also get a Godzilla vibe with Hulk screaming/roaring and the buildings in the background.

I feel like I can actually hear the Hulk yelling because of how well Pitarra drew this. So awesome! Huge congrats!

I love Pitarra's Hulk. It would be pretty sweet to see him take a turn on some Hulk title for a bit. I'm waiting on a Pitarra commission myself. Hulk vs Flex Mentallo, and I can't wait to see how it turns out. Another awesome Hulk piece for your collection, Dave. Big congrats!

Oh, that sounds like fun, can't wait to see that. Nick did a partial immortal hulk issue recently and the pages can be seen in the TC Shen gallery
