The comics were before my time, but the Electric Company television show on which this series was based, was certainly a part of my early childhood. These pages always provide good, silly fun and that's the name of my game! As for The Butterfly, you comic guys will spec on just about anything, so you might want to check if this is her 1st, and probably only, appearance. Once you comic guys outnumber us non-comics guys in this hobby, everyone will be sending their entire art collections to get slabbed at CGC and this page could be worth millions!
lol no thanks on the art page slabbing / CGC notions...but yeah...this issue came out in 1980 and the tv show pre-dates my childhood too as i was born in 84 and didnt really start watching superhero cartoons until 89/90 ish but I have no real specific date I can point to...def a fun piece
I have a friend who collects comic books but not original art who keeps insisting to me that the value of original art will never be fully realized until CGC starts slabbing and grading it. Nothing I say will convince him otherwise. I would say that his view will never take hold in reality, but then I've seen way too many things happen these past few years that I would have thought impossible once upon a time.
Oh yeah, NEVER underestimate the power to move markets that comes when speculators outnumber the longtermers. Nothing would surprise me anymore.

haha you're only as old as you feel? First issue of Super Stories came out in 74, this issue came out in 1980...which pre-dates my existence by 4 years lol

This is a really nice page! I usually associate Spidey Super Stories pages with silliness (my only SSS page has the Vanisher stealing library books), but this page would work in any title from the period.
