Seeing this page makes me wish Big John hadn't been quite so closely knit to Marvel so that he could have had a nice long run on a Batman title. Cheers on getting a page from this rare gem of a story.

That's for sure!  It is a shame Buscema didn't have more time for Batman.  What is especially nice about this story is at least it is ALL Buscema.  In a way, though, that makes it even more painful to see what John could have done had he had the chance to continue.

Man, John really knew how to give gravitas to his characters. Batman is absorbing the light. And the way he depicts the disguise is fantastic. That 4th panel is Milleresque, it's inked so well. A beautiful page. Congrats!
